Why aren’t you open on more days?
We determine the number of days that we will be open based on the number of trees that are available for harvest. Each year we try to ensure that there are a wide variety of trees available for our customers. In order to accomplish this year after year it is important not to over harvest in any season. We do this by limiting the dates that we are open rather than closing when the trees are sold out as some farms do. We have a large number of customers so we sell many trees on the dates that we are open.
Why don’t you open earlier in the season?
As in the first answer, we determine the dates that we are open based on tree availability and our desire to sustain quality trees year after year.
How large is your farm?
We currently have about 10,000 trees growing in seven fields located on our farm and property that we lease from the adjoining farmer. We currently have five fields open. Trees are all sizes from about one foot (planted this year) to trees up to about 10 feet.
How long does it take to grow a Christmas tree?
It takes about 6 to 8 years from planting to harvest. The trees that we plant are generally 2-to-4 years old so the trees that are harvested are usually 8 to 12 years old.
How much do you charge for a tree?
All trees are $100 (note: this is the 2023 season price). The State sales tax is included in the price. We also have free candy canes and stickers for the children. Our staff are also available to help you bring the tree to your vehicle and secure it to the vehicle.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
Do you have restrooms?
No. The farm entrance is not located near any buildings having water or electricity.
How are the trees maintained?
Our farm is fully maintained year around and the trees that we produce are beautiful, high quality Christmas trees. We take great pride in both the condition of the farm and the trees that we grow. All trees are sheared (shaped) annually using hand tools only.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes, we welcome well behaved dogs of all sizes and breeds. We ask that all dogs are leashed.
